Currently available RVs

  • All RVRBO listed RVs are all privately owned.  On this website you can view the details for each RV, check the calendar for availability and submit an application.  This application is reviewed and then sent to the RV owner (or more than one owner if you have interest in more than one RV).  The owner then replies directly to the interested parties where they confirm RV features & amenities, availability, rental conditions and then make a deal!
  • Each RV is equipped differently, and online videos, photos, detailed descriptions of each unit is clearly shown online.  If you are unsure about features or amenities that are important to you, be sure to ask.  Just because an RV lists a TV/DVD does not mean they have a RV satellite service for reception.
  • All RVs are fully equipped, and self contained, meaning while they can hook up to power/water/sewer, they do not need to, and can generally be self sufficient without any hookups for several days at a time, depending on number of people and how well you conserve your energy & water usage.
  • If you plan to use the modern sanitary/sewer features of an RV, plan to learn how to dump the tanks if you are going out for more than 2-3 days.  While you can pay a fee to empty tanks upon return, full tanks while you are camping are not enjoyable.  Improperly dumped tanks can lead to fines at campgrounds, overflow, sewer malfunction and possible breakage not to mention a ruined day at best.  RV sewer repairs are costly, and would be directly taken from your damage deposit.  Dumping tanks are a requirement of an RV vacation.  Modern, and safe chemicals assist greatly in odor mitigation, and gloves are provided.  In reality, the task is not at all difficult, but if you are squeamish about the process, consider this your advance notice!
  • Why rent from a private RV owner?  RV’s, especially motor homes, with a motor, brakes & transmission degrade with time when they sit unused.  Seals dry out, tires get soft/swollen spots, and dry rotted from getting the same sun exposure every day.  Essentially, this means that they are meant to be driven.  If you are considering buying an RV, and see a 15-20 year old model with low miles, buyer beware!  Low miles are certainly not always a good thing.
  • Private party rentals are much less expensive than renting through a large, commercial rental company.  RV owners have a large upfront cost, especially if buying a new unit.  Of the nine million RV owners in the US, most are lucky if they use the RV 3-4 weeks per year on average.  Renting their RV makes financial sense for the owner too, helping to recoup fixed costs such as regular maintenance, monthly loan payments, storage and insurance.
  • Our listing & referral service is FREE for renters to use.  We simply connect RV owners with interested rental parties.
  • With the costs of a vacation on the rise, it may surprise you that an RV vacation remains a great deal. Costs of airfare, hotels and & rental cars have all increased dramatically.  Click here for an article about the economical aspects of an RV vacation.
  • Can RVing really be a GREEN alternative?  Sure…it has a surprisingly decreased carbon footprint.  Click here for a link to an article that shows a study outlining how an RV vacation has lower CO2 emissions than the same trip via airline/rental car/motel.
  • With a kitchen in your RV, you can skip the fast food restaurants and enjoy more satisfying meals and snacks, especially for families with dietary or allergy requirements. An RV lets you travel to your own destinations and on your own schedule. Explore at your own pace and have your own private bathroom available anytime
